The Mechanic (2011)

If you like Jason Statham then you'll like this.  If you don't like Jason Statham well..you still might like it.  It's over the top cheesy action but he's the only credible action star around these days. 3/5

Starman (1984)

Likeable alien road trip movie of the 80s. Jeff Bridges is great as an alien as he convinces Indiana Jones' ex (Karen Allen)  to take him back to his mother ship. 3/5

Westworld (1973)

Back in the day this would have been epic.  Ground breaking and even now you can appreciate the genius behind the concept.  Robot cowboys? Awesome. 4/5

Empire Strikes Back (1980)

The greatest film in the saga and one of the finest film ever made.  This film has everything.  It's flawless. 5/5

Easy A (2010)

Funny chick flick that's worth a watch. I didn't want to like it but ended up loving it.  Cheesy and predictable but likeable. 4/5

The Ghost Writer (2010)

Slow moving political thriller that's not all that thrilling.  It never really gets going but at least there is a twist. 3/5

Megamind (2010)

Funny, well animated Dreamworks affair. Familiar story and likable characters.Good but not great.3/5

Tangled (2010)

Average run of the mill Disney, nothing epic.Enjoyable and well animated as you would expect but slightly too girly for me.3/5

Blue Valentine (2010)

Not as good as the reviews make out.Engaging and well acted but also rather pointless as nothing really happens,I'm on the fence with this one.3/5

True Grit (2010)

As it's a Coen Brothers film I want to like it, I want to say it's good.But it's not. Slow moving,dull storyline but the acting by the young girl is fab.2/5

The Tourist (2011)
