The Grey (2012)

It's like "Alive" meets "The Edge" but not as good as either.Theres not enough variety to keep it interesting and the whole wolves thing becomes boring. Neeson plays his usual grumpy Irish moody self.2/5

Goon (2011)

Stifler plays a brawling ice hockey player in a Waterboy/Gilmore kind of way.Predictable yet strangely enjoyable.Feels unfinished and lacking in something but it entertained me.3/5

The Woman in Black (2012)

Some very scary moments and set pieces but very repetitive.Harry Potter still can't act and the whole thing is predictable, no twists and the film is made pointless by the lame and inconclusive ending.2/5

Puss in Boots (2011)

Fantastic film in its own right, as worthy as Shrek and far better than the sequels. Great story, humour, pace and cast. 4/5

Passenger 57 (1992)

It's a guilty pleasure even though I know deep down its crap. It has that late 80s early 90s Die Hard feel and stars Snipes in his prime.3/5

Don't be afraid of the dark (2010)

Mike from Neighbours buys a big old house inhabited by CGI mini critters that whisper at night. This film is utter rubbish, the worst film of the year, probably the worst film I have ever reviewed.1/5

50/50 (2011)

Emotional and heart felt comedy about cancer. It balances the 2 really well, great acting and soundtrack. Its really good, but your eyes do well up in parts.4/5

Dream House (2011)

Poor mans Shutter Island. Utter dross, nice twist then utter dross. 2/5

Tower Heist (2011)

Enjoyable comedy robbery saga with a likeable but unusual cast. Not as clever as Oceans nor as witty, the pace is too slow and the sentiments get in the way of the comedy. It's fun to watch though.3/5

The Dark Knight (2008)

The first half drags but the second half is excellent. I actually prefer the first one as the pace is better. But for all out big budget action this delivers.4/5
