This Means War (2012)

Completely pointless film with mismatched characters. Tom Hardys (natural) accent gets annoying and is out of place. There is no point the lead characters being spies and the last 20 mins of the film (plot??) is rushed. 2/5

American Reunion (2012)

OK so this film can't see to get over the past and yes the jokes are old and the cast look tired but...I actually enjoyed this. It's funny, light hearted and took me back to the late 90s. Stiffler steals the show again. 3/5

Friends with Kids (2011)

Starts promising albeit predictable and definitely funnier if you have young babies, then it turns quite crap, unrealistic and looses the funny parts altogether. Resulting in a poor film sealed with an ending where the writers said,"oh I don't know how we should end it so just...end it". 2/5

The Tunnel (2011)

It's basically Blair Witch in the Aussie underground. But it works! It's been done a thousand times before, handheld footage, infra red cameras but it's scary and reminds me of Creep. Low budget but it delivers.4/5

Cipher (2002)

Surreal, dark and slightly sinister sci-fi thriller. It's like The Prisoner TV series meets Dark City in film noir. Nice twist but the pace is too slow to sustain my attention. 3/5

Bad Company (2002)

I expected more from a Bruckheimer/Schumacher production.  The casting of Anthony Hopkins and Chris Rock just doesn't work for me.  The whole plot is weak and unoriginal.  Chris Rock tries to fuse his wise-cracking humour with a serious spy role and it falls flat on its face.  And Anthony Hopkins doing action is all wrong.  2/5

The Glimmer Man (1996)

One of those buddy cop bromance action flicks made popular in the 80s and milked in the 90s. Weak story, cruddy acting, pointless Aikido and no love interest. Junk. 2/5

Bloodsport 2 (1996)

Not a patch on the firs tone but still watchable.  Actually the fight scenes are better and there are more of them.  And Daniel Bernhardt can act better than Van Damme (not difficult I know) 3/5.

The Raid (2011)

Some of the best action and Kung Fu I've seen for years. The choreography is insane. It it wasn't for the slight repetition towards the end it would have gained full marks. Still class though 4/5.

Project X (2012)

Interesting idea but a shame they went for the whole handheld camcorder Blair Witch effect. The ending was slightly stupid but the film is funny and intriguing.3/5

Thursday (1998)

This film is quality. If you have not seen it - see it! It's like a quirky Pulp Fiction and the red PVC suit seals the deal 5/5

Showdown In Little Tokyo (1991)

Cheesy as hell but I've always liked this cop buddy action film. Brandon Lee is the real star although underplayed. Catchy soundtrack and girl of the moment, Tia Carrere was in it. 3/5

Lockout (2012)

A beefed up Mike from Neighbours stars in this cheap looking sci-fi prison in space movie. It starts great until you see the bad CGI chase scene, it then gets worse 1/5
