Taken (2008)

Awesome action thriller with a great leading performance from a rather cool Liam Neeson. Some brilliant moments and set pieces.4/5

Black Swan (2010)

Very trippy and surreal drama from the director if Pi. At times it's great, at others it's weird but it keeps you watching all the way through.Very good.4/5

The Next Three Days (2010)

The synopsis sounds great and this Russell Crowe prison break starts promising only to trail into absolute dross. The first hour is long, the second feels longer and the outcome isn't worth the wait.2/5

The Mechanic (2011)

If you like Jason Statham then you'll like this.  If you don't like Jason Statham well..you still might like it.  It's over the top cheesy action but he's the only credible action star around these days. 3/5

Starman (1984)

Likeable alien road trip movie of the 80s. Jeff Bridges is great as an alien as he convinces Indiana Jones' ex (Karen Allen)  to take him back to his mother ship. 3/5

Westworld (1973)

Back in the day this would have been epic.  Ground breaking and even now you can appreciate the genius behind the concept.  Robot cowboys? Awesome. 4/5

Empire Strikes Back (1980)

The greatest film in the saga and one of the finest film ever made.  This film has everything.  It's flawless. 5/5
